I have had a few people ask me “Where do you blog?” or “When do you find time to blog since you’re a mom/homeschool mom?” The answer to this is actually quite easy but difficult at the same time. I don’t think that makes sense but it does in my head.
My choice of place to blog is either on the couch with a glass of sweet tea – or bottle of Pepsi – beside me or at my desk, also known as our dining room table. LOL! Most of my blogging actually happens on my phone. From planning them out, to typing, to interacting with other bloggers, to sharing my blogs on other social media platforms. It isn’t the easiest way to get things done but it’s convenient since I can easily grab my phone and comment back or read a couple blogs. If I’ve got a lot of pictures being added to my post then I’ll pull out my laptop. Right now, I’m typing this up on my phone while waiting for my truck to be inspected. Sometimes it happens all at once and sometimes it’s broken up throughout the day or multiple days. (I added this in on day 2 of typing this up! Lol!)
As for WHEN I blog, it depends. This is the difficult part. LOL. Normally I type up my blog posts when Ellie is napping during the day as I try to get my cleaning done while she’s awake so it doesn’t bother her while she is sleeping. If I don’t type up my blogs while she sleeps then I do them either when my oldest is playing with the girls and keeping them happy or once everyone is asleep for the night. It is easiest for me to blog when everyone is asleep because I don’t have any interruptions and my thoughts can flow freely. When I’m distracted, much like now, my writing seems to be all over the place and spacey. Sigh. Thankfully most of my followers are moms and understand the chaos that goes on in your mind as you’re trying to focus on one thing but have 6644213543 other things going on!
I think the funniest part is just HOW LONG it takes me to finish the process of posting a blog! For instance, I started typing this one up yesterday early afternoon and here it is almost 33 hours later and I still haven’t finished it. Between the girls and life in general I have had so many interruptions each time I sit down to type something up. All of which, I wouldn’t change. I love my interruptions.
When I first started this blog I was all “I am going to post every day! This is going to be so awesome!” and now, as lots more items have been added to my plate of life, I am seeing just how difficult it actually is keeping up with a blog! I made my blog to vent and discuss my experiences as a mother and wife and I intend to keep up with that focus meanwhile involving others in my journey as well!
I hope this answers the questions y’all have! I know most of it was just to see what the process is like and honestly the process for each blog post is different because each of my days looks different. Sometimes I can knock them out in an hour and sometimes it takes days to complete one blog. Blogging full time is a lot of work but work that I enjoy doing!
Thank you for reading!
xoxo
I am finding it very hard to find the time to blog like I want. We are a homeschool family in the middle of our theatre season, plus I work a part time job. Life is a bit on the Hectic side. I am also lacking creatively. I think I can remedy that, thank goodness, but finding time at this point is a feat.

I don’t blog as much as I’d like, either. I’ve been trying to figure out a routine/schedule so that I can get more blogging in but it’s been tough.
