Letter to My Future Self

Dear Future Self,

I hope this letter finds you somewhere in the comfort of happiness. Right now your life is one huge, chaotic, bittersweet mess. We’ll get into all of that later.

I hope that you have allowed yourself to let go of what bothers you and stop letting the small, trivial things bother you.

I hope that you are living in the moment and no longer stuck in the past or the future. Trust me when I say time goes too fast and you shouldn’t let what could have been or what could be overshadow the now.

I hope that you have found a career in your field and enjoy it as much as I believe you will.

I hope that you are taking in all that you see and applying it to your daily life. There is a lot to learn from the older generation.

The last couple years have been crazy and quite a lot has been learned, all of which I hope that you are still using in your everyday life. Deciding to try for one more baby to getting your tubes tied. A whirlwind of emotions doesn’t even begin to describe it.

I’ve been working my ass off to finish my bachelor degree and I am currently 4 days away from being done with classes. It is a very bittersweet moment for me as I have loved learning about all that the human services field has to offer. As much as I have loved this time I am ready to be done with the ‘student’ part of my life for a while. I want to be just mom and wife. I hope that you will still feel the same way about this as I do now and don’t have any regrets.

I hope that you have found yourself in a position of great relationships with your daughters, especially now. They may be older but they still need you.

I hope that you still enjoy the simple things in life. I hope that you are still making memories.

Until we meet,

our chaotic mess-3
