Q & A

I’ve gotten a few more questions from y’all and I like posting them in a blog because you never know.. someone else may want to know the answer as well.

Without further ado let’s get right into them.

I’ve noticed you talking about “back home” quite a lot and was wondering where you were born and how long you’ve been living where you currently are.

I am originally from Ohio. A small town in the far northwest corner. I moved down to Virginia in 2003 and that is where I currently live.

Would you ever move back home if you had the chance?

There was a time, not that long ago, when I would’ve said yes in a heartbeat but now I just know this is where my family belongs. Yeah, it sucks being apart from my family up north but I’m happy where we are. My girls have their grandparents and aunts & uncles (except one who’s in Ohio) down here. This is just where we belong. I think if my grandparents were still alive it’d be a different story, though.

If you were another person, would you be friends with yourself?

Hmm, I would! I’d like to think I’m a good friend.

What is something you fear, non family related. Or something you’d never do.

So, I’m afraid of heights. Spiders. Snakes. The typical stuff. As for things I will never do.. bungee jump. Nope. Not going to happen. Or skydiving. Not going to happen either.

Where is the furthest place from home that you’ve visited?

So, the girls and I went to Florida with my family last December. I think it’s about the same distance away as back home, though. However it was a long drive but we had lots of fun!

How do you handle homeschooling and being in college yourself?

Good question! I often wonder this myself. Especially on days where either the girls are having an off day or I’m having an off day. Honestly, I just go with the flow. I try to not overthink anything and do as much as I can. I learned the hard way that pushing my girls or I just led to tears and frustration which didn’t help the situation, at all. It takes a lot of patience and balancing. Lots of time I will do my school when they’re done with school for the day or after they’ve gone to bed for the night. It honestly just depends how the day plays out. No two days look alike as far as when and how I handle these things. Lol.

Have you decided what your next step in schooling will be?

This is a tough one for me. I want so badly to go get my masters in Social Work once I’m done with my bachelors in May but with Ellie being our last baby I honestly just want to take a little time off and soak up my kids. I’ve been in college.. consistently.. since 2014 and honestly.. I need a break. I’m wore out. This doesn’t mean that I won’t go back. I still very much so want to work in the hospice field as a social worker so I will need to go back for my masters at some point! I’ve also thought about also getting a bachelors in psychology but we’ll see. I finish this degree in May and I’m going to be taking some time off to enjoy my kids and have time where I don’t have to worry about homework and due dates and finals. It’ll be nice!

Those are the top questions I’ve got since my last q & a! I hope y’all enjoyed learning a little more about me! If y’all have any other questions for me leave them in the comments and I’ll write them down for my next one!

As always thank you for reading!

Until next time…

xoxo
